“Anything worthwhile doesn’t come without challenges – Don’t forget that freedom isn’t in the money, it’s in how you feel”
Daegan Smith is one of the most established leaders in the home business industry, having been able to generate more than a thousand leads per day in his business. Always one to bring immense value to the table, today he shares some profound thoughts on the fear of failure.
Daegan is known as “The King of Never Calling a Single Lead” and his perspectives on failure will be of value to those inside or outside of network marketing. This is a quick 6-minute video with a hard-hitting message to help you see the truth about that dreaded word “failure”.
Daegan Smith: Getting Over Your Fear of Failure
Daegan Smith’s Perspective on “Failure”…
Smith’s take on so called “failure” is straight and simple. He explains that; since you’re in this game for freedom, such questions should not exist in your mind. The cause of these types of questions is the fear of failure issue”.
“If you believe you can attain the goals you imagine for your business without experiencing failure in ways you haven’t conceived of, you are a fool.”
Smith says that timidity and ego will make your world smaller until you end up as one of those people that says, “Oh, the whole world’s scamming me!”
He advises these people who live in this “little reactionary place of fear” to not waste their time anymore, because, as Daegan asserts, “If you don’t think that you’re going to get tested, ha-ha, don’t play the game!”
”Here’s the truth. What is failure? It’s just the world simply showing you one of the things that you thought isn’t.”
Speaking from experience, he tells us that “in the times and places where I’ve had to face the things I didn’t think of but I’ve had to face – and then to overcome these things – that’s where freedom is. That’s where you’re free. That’s where fear doesn’t exist anymore.
That’s where every day you wake up and you say to yourself: How do I live? Not how I want to live so that I don’t hit the wall that’s going to hurt me.
“Those who succeed, succeed because they fail a lot more and get used to it. And because they get used to it, they see the world more for what it is, therefore they can do more things in it. More freedom, less emotional attachment, less selfish ego. And because of that, they have a perspective that others don’t”
These parting words from his 6-minute take on failure make Daegan Smith’s ideas hit us right where it counts. Ultimately, he declares, “freedom isn’t in the money. It’s how you feel”.
