Matt Morris, author of the no.1 bestseller, “The Unemployed Millionaire: Escape the Rat Race”, shares some of his quick network marketing tips to the question – who to work with to grow your network marketing business?

Being one of those charismatic speakers who has the talent to move people to act through his positive words of network marketing wisdom, Morris found some time to share his piece on the MLM team members you should be focusing your time and resources on to make your network marketing business click.

Matt Morris: Working Closely With Your Team Members

“Focus on the people who are producing. That’s where you pour gas on the fire”

Morris emphasized that the people who need you to train, then re-train, then re-train them some more, are not the people who will make your network marketing business grow.

Focus on those who produce and pour gas on the fire. These people are the producers. For the people you have trained and just have potential, make them take action to go after sales or prospecting. With these people, you do the fast-start training with them, but if they’re not producing then they don’t deserve a great deal of your time or energy.

“Make them do something before you invest in them.”

This statement actually sums up Morris’ secret of his network marketing career success. The Unemployed Millionaire drove home his point that the focus of a marketer’s attention and energy must be spent pouring gas on the fire of the producers.

“Potential is a fancy word for; haven’t done anything yet”

With more than 20 years as a serial entrepreneur, Matt Morris definitely has the credentials to clearly speak his mind and respond to the all-important question his video sufficiently answered. Morris even added that this strategy of focusing on training the producers in your team becomes more relevant because the energy generated is also expected to generate leads and make the market embrace these producers more.

As for training those who just have potential to show, Morris has his parting words, “Don’t train those who need you and just have potential. Go train those people who are already producing. Pour gas on fire”

    Well it makes sense to work with those who are already producing because you already know that they have the ability to produce and desire to produce, therefore giving them more tools or “gas” is obviously going to help them grow their businesses quicker (and put more money in your pocket as a result).

    But on the other hand… I also don’t think that you should disregard all of those who haven’t started producing YET, because even though they might not be producing at the moment, they do have the ability to do so with the right mindset and encouragement.
