Photo and video tools can be great marketing tools, but for your business model, are they the right choice? Diane explains that a thousand dollars worth of photo shoot will make you attractive, but can the people you recruit do it too? If your team members can’t replicate you, they will likely remain stagnant.

“Focus on being consistent”

Diane describes how branding and having an online presence isn’t about “sleek Photoshop pictures”. It is about consistency. It’s about creating confidence. It’s about reaching out and touching people. It’s about having people love themselves so they pass that around.

“Say something relevant!”

Branding is about saying something relevant. Diane insists that people tattoo the word “relevant” on their arms. Who you are and what you stand for. What are you gonna talk about? What’s your product line? What is it doing for people? What kind of results are people getting? Get out there and talk about it. You don’t need fancy pictures for that.

“Branding and creating an online presence is all about being visible.”

Diane’s wonderful insights are not only compelling, they are also very practical and down-to-earth ideas and principles. “It’s not about fancy, sleek stuff”. It’s about being there. It’s about getting in front of your audience. That’s what being a home business owner is.

    I agree completely. If you are not engaging with your audience and aren’t exuding that confident nature that is required then all those flashy pictures and videos aren’t going to do anything for you. Keeping it simple and real is what needs to happen because otherwise people are going to be a bit skeptical about you and what you are offering. Be engaged, build your site, offer positive out reach and then use videos and pictures to back up what you say.
