“The struggle you experience in your business is what literally builds the strength required to reach your dreams.”
One of the key topics we constantly cover here at Home Business Hangout is the inevitable struggle on the road to home business success. Without overcoming challenges, and breaking through obstacles, there really is no way you are going reach your goals.
In his latest training video, filmed while taking his daughter Luna out for a morning walk, Jonathan Budd, shared his perspective on the art of the business start up and the importance of struggle during this process. As always, Jonathan shares a great message, using an easy to understand analogy for why struggle and success go hand in hand when building a business.

Key points Covered During the Video…
Jonathan shared the story of a caterpillar which is just about to enter the next stage of its life as a butterfly, and struggling to get out of its cocoon. A little boy happened to see everything that’s happening with the caterpillar and decided to help it.
But what happened next surprised the little boy. Because as soon as the would-be butterfly got out of the cocoon, it did not fly. Instead it began to roll over and die.
Lesson of the story? Budd stated it very succinctly to get the message across…
“The process of struggling is ABSOLUTELY inherent to your ability to fly”
Budd’s take on why struggles must be dealt with as being a natural part of the process itself is very enlightening. In fact, it emphasizes a lot people’s experiences when starting something – whether it’s a business or another aspect of life.
“No matter who you are, or when you’re going through it, we all have to go through the same thing.”
This simply means that the struggles you have to go through when building your business and getting it off the ground, are not only required, but they will keep you improving.
“You’ve got to struggle – It’s the inherent process itself that forces growth, so that you become the person you really need to be to make your dreams come true.”
The home business expert has done it again! Budd has successfully taken a simple butterfly story and turned it into a life-changing universal principle you could even apply to all aspects of your life. How’s that for metamorphosis!
And for the final coup…
“Start up mode is undoubtedly very difficult – It constantly tests your belief in yourself, your persistence, and your doubts. It forces you to be nimble, to move quickly, to adapt. It forces you to be enormously creative and resourceful”
Often, the more cash-strapped you are, the better. Because it forces this growth even more. If you can just put money towards things, you don’t actually develop the resourcefulness and the creativity that businesses truly need to survive.
Let’s give Budd a round of applause for this insight on how to deal with the startup hang ups and begin to spread your entrepreneurial wings to finally fly!
